After finishing 3rd place in last week’s Division II Districts at Alliance, Howland junior, Brandon Matlock had his mind and heart set on a podium finish down in Columbus. Brandon finished the weekend 4-2, both losses came to Shelby Senior, Devin Williams, who finished this season with over 50 wins. Brandon finishes this season at 15-6. This is an outstanding finish for our junior heavy weight wrestler. The weight class caps at 285 lbs, Brandon easily gives up 60 pounds to some of his opponents. Being only a junior, the Tigers are anxious to see what 2017-2018 will bring for Matlock and the rest of the Tiger wrestlers. Congratulations to Brandon Matlock, head coach Matt Zakrajsek and assistant coach Brian Earich, and the entire wrestling program for an outstanding year!
