This past Saturday, April 22, 2017, the Lady Tiger Softball Team hosted the first annual Toni Ross Spirit Foundation Softball Jamboree. Teams participating were LaBrae, Jefferson, Brookfield, and Howland. Toni Ross was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School and Kent State University where she graduated with a RN degree. She was a long time community resident and a well-loved nurse at Howland Glen Elementary, where she touched the lives of the students as well as the staff with her generosity, loving nature and huge smile. Kevin Ross, Toni’s son, threw out the first pitch in the Howland vs LaBrae game. The Lady Tigers captured Toni’s competitive spirit and came away from the day with two victories versus LaBrae and Brookfield. The day of softball was more than the competition, it was a celebration of Toni Ross and her spirit of giving.
The Toni Ross Spirit Foundation’s core belief is that your greatness is not what you have, it is what you give.
