Boys Middle School Track, Girls Middle School Track · HMS Girls Win AAC Track Championship, Boys Take Second


The HMS girls track team won the All American Conference Championship meet last night at Austintown Fitch.  Courtney Clark led the way for the Lady Tigers winning both the shot put and discus. Courtney set a new meet record in the shot put.  In the 100 meter dash Carmen Lucarelli-Kennedy placed 6th. Megan Hipple won the 1600 meter run and Morgan Petrilla was 2nd. Noelle DelGarbino won the 400 meter dash and Gemma Mariani added a 3rd place finish.  Rielly Fabrizio was 4th in the 200 meter hurdles. In the 800 meter run Morgan Petrilla was 2nd and Megan Hipple was 3rd. Noelle and Carmen add 5th and 6th place finishes in the 200 meter dash. Lexus Solarz was 2nd in the shot put and Ky’Renea Matlock was 4th in the discus.  In the long jump Grace Zucco placed 2nd and Khloe Liakaris 3rd. Katie Weeks tied for 2nd place in the high jump. The 4 X 100 meter relay team of Zucco, DeSalvo, Liakaris and Matlock finished 3rd. Finishing 1st was the 4 X 200 meter relay team of Kennedy, Simpson, Liakaris and Clark.  Winning the 4 X 400 meter relay was the team of Mariani, Hipple, Petrilla and DelGarbino.

  

The boys track team was runner up at the AAC championship meet last night, finishing with 103 points.  Scoring in the top three were:

Ben Bronson – 1st in the 800 and 3rd in the 400
Nick Leasure – 1st in the 200 and 400 – 2nd in the 100
Vasilli gentis – 2nd in the 1600 and 3rd in the 800
Connor durig – 2nd in the high jump
Brandon Null – 3rd in the high jump
The 4X4 team of Jet Hua, Owen Allison, Pasquale Carannante and Ben Bronson were 2nd
The 4X1 and 4X2 team of Marco Massucci, Pasquale Carannante, Caleb Sutton and Jake Stevens finished 3rd in both events.
