Boys Middle School Track, Girls Middle School Track · HMS Girls and Boys Win Trumbull County Championship

The girls track team won the Trumbull County Championship meet Saturday at Lakeview.


Courtney Clark led the way for the lady tigers.  She was the Trumbull County Field Event MVP. Courtney won the discus and the shot put.  She set a new school record, meet record and stadium record in the shot put with her 41 feet 11 inch throw.  Megan Hipple also broke a school record in the 1600 meter run.


Ky’Renae Matlock added a 6th place finish in the 100 meter dash.  Megan Hipple was 2nd in the 1600 meter run followed by Morgan Petrilla in 4th place and McKenzie Maiorano in 8th.  Noelle DelGarbino won the 400 meter dash and Riley Chmielewski was 6th. Katie Weeks finished 8th in the 200 meter hurdles.  In the 800 meter run Megan Hipple finished 2nd and Morgan Petrilla was 4th. Noelle DelGarbino added a 5th place finish in the 200 meter dash.  Lexus Solarz was 2nd in the high jump. Grace Zucco placed 2nd, Riley Chmielewski 3rd and Khloe Liakaris 6th in the long jump. Winning the shot put was Courtney Clark followed by Ky’Renae Matlock in 3rd and Lexus Solarz in 8th.  Clark was 1st, Matlock 2nd and Solarz 6th in the discus.


The 4X100 meter relay team of Zucco, DeSalvo, Liakaris and Candel finished 8th


Winning the 4X200 meter relay was the team of Kennedy, Simpson, DeSalvo and Liakaris.


The 4X400 meter relay team of Mariani, Hipple, Petrilla and DelGarbino finished 2nd.

Congratulations to the entire track team on a great season!!!


The boys track team finished the season Saturday as the Trumbull County Champions.  They won the 18 team meet with 85 points

Placing third for the the Tigers were:
Connor Durig in the high jump and Tino Merlo in the discus

Nick Leasure in the 400

Fastest in the County are:

Ben Bronson in the 400
and the 4X200 team of Caleb Sutton, Jake Stevens, Pasquale Carannante and Marco Massucci
Nick Leasure was named the Running MVP of the meet.
