Boys’ and Girls’ Middle School Track Teams Defeat Boardman

HMS boys track and field won their 1st meet on Wednesday 3/28 at Boardman by the score 60-54.  Nick Leasure led the way with 15 pts, winning the 100, 200 and 400.  Also winning events were Jak Kenney-800, Trevor Diegan-shot put, Cliff Phillips-discus, Xiaoyu Kirin-long jump and the 4×400 team of Jam Kenney, Rian Spangler,

Physic Olympics This Thursday

This Thursday periods 1-4, students in the Physics Classes will compete in the annual Physics Olympics Contest. Throughout the morning you will be able to come down and watch students compete in categories including:  Mousetrap Cars for Distance and Time, Catapult Launch for Accuracy, Bridge Construction and Weigh In and Airplane Launch for In Flight Time.  

JV Girls Lose Shortened Game to Mathews 7-0

The JV softball team opened the season dropping the contest 7-0 in a 3-inning contest shortened due to darkness. Mia D’Angelo led the Tigers with 2 hits and Lexi Rodgers added a single. Victoria Lewis pitched all 3 innings, striking out 3 while giving up 3 earned runs.

Howland Varsity and JV Baseball Fall to Boardman

The Howland Varsity Baseball lost to Boardman Monday 12-0.   The Tigers were held to two hits both by Dylan Kellar while Boardman scored 12 runs off of 8 hits.  Dylan Kellar took the loss for the Tigers. The JV Boys lost to Boardman 14-2.

Howland Softball Dominates East

Howland softball started their season off with a victory last night over Youngstown East 19-1. East scored their first and only run in the top of the first inning. The Tigers answered with scoring 9 runs and didn’t stop there. Mackenzie Maze, Bailee Beasom, Lindsey Shrodek, and Gabby Hartzell lead the team offensively recording 3

Boys Tennis Falls to Canfield 5-0

The Boys Varsity Tennis Team fell to 0-1 on the season after losing 5-0 to AAC Red Tier opponent Canfield. 1st Singles – Tim Ciabciola (C) defeated Michael Awadalla (H) 6-0 6-0 2nd Singles – Ben Martin (C) defeated Marc Snitzer (H) 6-0 6-1 3rd Singles – Sirin Nalluri (C) defeated Hunter Slyk (H) 6-1

Howland Trio Named All Conference, Maze HM All-Ohio
