Temperatures, Spartans Can’t Slow Down Tigers

The bone chilling temperatures of 2 degrees, minus 13 degrees with windchill didn’t seem to affect the Tigers inside Howland Gymnasium as they put five guys in double figures on their way to beating Boardman 71-63. Varsity Girls Defeat Harding

In a close game throughout, Howland used a balanced scoring attack to defeat Warren Harding 58-46.  Leading the Tigers were Alex Ochman with 21 points and 13 rebounds,  Gabby Hartzell with 17 points and Mackenzie Maze with 11 points.   This is the Tigers 6th straight victory and their record now stands at (9-3) overall.  Howland

The visiting Lady Tigers had a slim 12-10 advantage after the first frame, but gathered momentum and went on to rout the Raiders 57-15. Howland Boys Bowling Defeats Lakeside

Howland Varsity Bowling team beat Lakeside 2153 to 2039. High Series and High Game both belong to Matt Horvat with Game of 212 and series 390. Howland Girls Bowling Victorious over Lakeside

The girls bowling team beat Lakeside in an AAC conference match.  Leading the girls was Jessica Guesman with a 226.  She was followed by Danni Harigan with a 200.  The teams next match is Monday against Struthers.

JV Girls Basketball Loses Heart Breaker to Louisville 41-40

Two Louisville free throws with 8 seconds on the clock erased a 40-39 Tigers lead and provided the final margin. The Leopards escaped with the win when a last second Lady Tigers shot missed the mark. Jenna DeSalvo let the Tigers with 12 points.
