Girls Bowling Team Shines at State Kickoff

The girls bowling team traveled to Columbus this weekend to compete in the State Kickoff Invitational, which is the nations largest tournament and is best versus best in the state. The Howland Girls Basketball team got back on the winning track by defeating Youngstown East 65-15. Leading scorers for the Tigers were Gabby Hartzel with 15 points, Mackenzie Maze with 14 points, and Ka’Rina Mallory with 12 points. The Tigers are now 2-1 on the season. Boys Varsity Bowling Defeats Labrae

The Varsity Boys Bowling team defeated Labrae 2244 to 1991 Wednesday evening.  Leading the way was Brad Sindledecker with a two game total of 400, followed by Evan Dehn with 326 and Matt Horvat with a 323.

Sara Ciletti Receives High Soccer Honors

Sara Ciletti, senior at Howland High School, received multiple honors for her play on the soccer field this season.   Sara was honored as Division II All Ohio First Team and District Player of the Year. Sara is a four year letter winner in soccer and plans to attend YSU majoring in Sports Medicine.

Girls Bowling Opens With Victory

The girls bowling team opened up their season with a win against LaBrae.  Leading the girls was Jessica Guesman with a 235 followed by Kayla Bross with a 201.  Good luck to the team as they travel to Columbus this weekend for the nations largest tournament.

Howland Football Players Receive All-Ohio Honors

The honors keep stacking up for seniors Michael Schwartz and Brandon Matlock.  Recently the OHSAA released the All-Ohio Honors and both Michael and Brandon made the list. Michael Schwartz was honored as All-Ohio First Team as a Punter and Brandon Matlock received Honorable Mention as a Lineman.   Congratulations to these scholar athletes for representing Howland High
