HMS Wrestling Finishes 5th in League Tournament

The HMS Wrestling Team completed its season over the weekend by placing 5th at the 28-team league tournament: The EOWL (Eastern Ohio Wrestling League).   11 out of the 13 Tiger wrestlers who competed won at least one match and 8 Tigers earned a spot up on the podium.  Carter Mock and Ryan Spangler both took 2nd place.   Carter and Ryan each won 3 out of 4 matches with their only loss coming in the championships finals.  Ethan Snyder, Matt

MS Wrestling Sees Great Success at Twinsburg

Over the weekend the HMS Wrestling Team competed in a tournament so big that many consider it to be the “Middle School States”.  By the end of the weekend the Tigers sent 6 out of 13 wrestlers to the podium, outscored our rivals, Canfield, by a half of a point; and placed 9th overall. Wrestlers

HMS Wrestlers Finish 2nd in Marlington Duals Tournament

The HMS Wrestling Team competed in the Marlington Duals Tournament over the weekend placing second out of eight state caliber teams.   In the first match the Tiger wrestlers defeated perennial state powerhouse Claymont 41-39 handing them their first loss on the season. Five tigers won by pin: Carter Mock, Caden Mancino, Joe Goldberg, Ethan Snyder, and Kole Tarary. Other wrestlers winning by decision were Matt Woomer and Ryan Spangler. Caden Mancino

HMS Wrestlers Take 2017 South Range Tournament Championship

On Saturday, December 16th, the Howland Middle School Wrestling Team traveled to Canfield to compete against 13 area teams and were eventually crowned “Champions” of the South Range Holiday Classic Wrestling Tournament.  The Tigers dominated the competition sending 11 out of 15 wrestlers into the final round to earn a place on the podium. HMS Wrestling Improves to 8-3

The HMS Wrestling Team improved its record to 8-3 over the weekend at Pymatuning Valley.  The Tigers only losses were the result of very close matches with Ashtabula Lakeside (33-39), and South Range (36-40).
