Austintown Topples 8th Grade Boys

The 8th grade boys battled hard, but fell short to the Austintown Blue Falcons.  Both teams played tough defense and had some strong offensive moments.  Unfortunately, the Falcons proved to be too much for the Tigers with the final score of 51-48.  The boys play again this Thursday at home against Boardman. The boys suffered a tough loss after coming back from a first quarter Austintown 17-5 lead. The Tigers tied it at 24-24 at the half but a dismal second half shooting performance ruined their bid for a great comeback. The 8th grade boys basketball team lost 38-26 in Canfield.  After ending the first quarter with a 13-4 lead the Tigers relinquished the lead to the feisty cardinals 19-15 at half.  The Tigers cut the lead to 3 points near the end of the 3rd quarter but a 3 point buzzer beater to the end the

Final score: 38-33  Alex Henry made the game winning three with 15 seconds and iced the Boardman come-back by making a basket and getting fouled with 1.2 seconds left.

7th and 8th Boys Beat Boardman in Thrillers

The 7th grade boys basketball team defeated Boardman last night 38-37.  The Tigers overcame a 13 point 4th quarter deficit. The leading scorers for the Tigers were Jaden Rishel with 14 points,  Alex Henry with 9 points and Marco Kubanscek with 4. Also scoring were Chris Fenton, Gabe Gamichia, Landon Infante, and Brendan Ray.  Good

HMS Boys Fall to Austintown

The 7th grade boys were defeated yesterday by Austintown Red 32-26.  Leading the Tigers were Jaden Rishel with 12 points and Alex Henry with 8 points.   The 8th grade boys basketball team lost a heart-breaker to Fitch Red last night 31-29.  Everyone is off until next Monday when the boys travel to Canfield. HMS Boys Sweep Warren

The 8th grade boys basketball team beat Warren last night by the score of 43-28.  The win kept the boys undefeated at home and raised their record to 8-2. Brandon Null led 9 Tigers in scoring with 10 points.   David Manios and Josiah Mattern both scored 8. The 7th grade boys basketball team defeated Warren
