Three MS Wrestlers Finish on Podium in EOWL

The wrestling team competed at the Jr. High Eastern Ohio Wrestling League tournament this past weekend.  The team finished 19th out of 27 teams in the tournament.  Leading the way for the Tigers were Aiden MacGregor placing 6th in the 86 pound weight class, Landon Armitage placing 6th in the 205 pound weight class, and

All Howland Middle School Winter-Sports student-athletes are invited to the HMS Winter Sports Banquet.  We will be honoring all student-athletes and coaches who participated in a Winter sport at HMS. MS Wrestlers Drop Two Close Duals

The HMS wrestling team dropped two close duals this past week.  The team lost a close one to Canfield by a score of 36-39.  In the match the Tigers were led by strong performances from Richard Bailey and Landon Armitage.  The Tigers then lost to Girard by a score of 27-43.  Landon Armitage leads the

HMS Wrestlers Finish in Middle of Pack

The wrestling team competed at the South Range Holiday Wrestling tournament this past weekend.  At the end of the day the team finished in 11th place out of 21 teams.  The Tigers were led by Landon Armitage who went 4-0 on the day and won the 205 pound weight class.  The team returns to action

HMS Wrestlers Take 3rd at Grizzly Invitational

The HMS Wrestling Team competed at the 2019 Wadsworth MS Grizzly Invitational Duals on January 12th against 16 selected teams from all over the state. The tigers went 4-1 eventually beating out Wauseon MS (from just west of Toledo) for third place in exciting fashion as the team’s place on the podium was not secured

Last night, you HMS Tigers’ 7th and 8th grade Wrestling Team defended the home gym by defeating the South Range Raiders 84-12. HMS Wrestling Finishes 5th in League Tournament

MS Wrestling Sees Great Success at Twinsburg

Over the weekend the HMS Wrestling Team competed in a tournament so big that many consider it to be the “Middle School States”.  By the end of the weekend the Tigers sent 6 out of 13 wrestlers to the podium, outscored our rivals, Canfield, by a half of a point; and placed 9th overall. Wrestlers

HMS Wrestlers Finish 2nd in Marlington Duals Tournament

The HMS Wrestling Team competed in the Marlington Duals Tournament over the weekend placing second out of eight state caliber teams.   In the first match the Tiger wrestlers defeated perennial state powerhouse Claymont 41-39 handing them their first loss on the season. Five tigers won by pin: Carter Mock, Caden Mancino, Joe Goldberg, Ethan Snyder, and Kole Tarary. Other wrestlers winning by decision were Matt Woomer and Ryan Spangler. Caden Mancino
